I started making purses under the name Shoshothelo in Greece over 10 years ago. The name originated from my cat Shosho and thelo which is Greek for 'I want'. The new name Portothelo has lost the cat naming as I have three cats now and it would be unfair to choose one over the others. The 'porto' part comes from 'portofoli' which means wallet or purse in Greek. The theme of my little shop is the same, hand made purses, zip purses for all sorts of needs. The logo of Portothelo includes elements of the mountainous landscape of Greece and the sea.
